The funny part Delonix is that it's raining today, which means I'll be visiting the garden with my umbrella!!!
Plus I've been told I have to dig it deeper. Really looking forward to digging in the mud (not) :o}

You're very dedicated to seeing this plant bloom...I must say. :>)
We haven't had any rain in San Diego since Jan. 5th. The high temps have been from 74ºF/23ºC - 85ºF/29ºC. (where I live) and extremely dry for most of January.

Delonix, I waited 10 days for this plant to arrive in the mail....I wasn't sure if it was going to make it. It's a winner and I'm very dedicated in seeing this plant bloom. ;o))))
We had a spell of nice warm dry sunny weather. It yukky again now and the forecast is cloudy and cold. Maybe even brrrr temps.
I found one of my plant books from the states....oh the memories it bought back. All the different plants I had there that I had to leave behind. Oh well, on to bigger and better.

Sounds like it's definitely worth the wait. I know the challenge of growing certain plants is very gratifying.
Hopefully, it won't get too cold...as it's already the end of January...spring is almost here. (although, San Diego is considered by many, the city (downtown SD) of perpetual spring).
It's always heart-breaking to leave plants behind when one moves. I know one day, when I eventually move...I will have to leave a lot behind. :>(
