Okay, so I'm weak! I saw Dottydaisy's photo and then came across this in the garden centre today, so I bought it. When I got it it wasn't even close to opening - after three hours in the car with the heater on it was fully open!

Love it, beautiful, will you plant it?

Thanks. They were outdoors at the GC so they have been planted Lulu.

Ok Meanie, off to the GC when I feel a little better and this blasted wind dies down! I love Iris's, so pretty.

It has to be done Lulu!

It does indeed Meanie, these are quite short aren't they?

OOOpppps, just seen that they are called Dwarf, how silly of me! Sorry still recovering from flu, and it's amazing how many typing errors I'm making too!!! Keep having to edit!

Thank you Homebird.

Only one dissenting voice - it's a great photo, but 'Harmony' it aint. I think this little beauty is 'Purple Gem', Meanie.

I was going to say the same thing Spritz ..lol... I have a purple gem it's just coming into flower , this is it ! I put a pic of a 'Harmony ' on yesterday ... I have a problem with my camera in that it dosn't always show the differences between blue and purple very well ... ..

Strange, isn't it, Amy. My camera is the same. I get really frustrated sometimes, and wonder whether to raid my piggy bank and buy a better one - but that would mean a larger one, too - so not so convenient.

I have the same thoughts Barbara but I do like a neat camera that sits comfortably in my pocket or handbag .. ...
9 Feb, 2011
I agree. I did look at more expensive cameras, but they're so heavy and cumbersome - and they have so many features I'd need a degree in photography to use one! lol.

I think that this must be a rogue bulb - it is the only one.
If you're not into photography stick with a point and shoot. And you may be surprised at the increased performance of these with the latest sensors. My camera cost about the same secondhand as a good point and shoot.
