Catkins

Gorgeous - so glad we have one of these :)

They are lovely are nt they, there is a tree in the square across from me it looks lovely like yours with the sun shinning on them.

They are in my neighbours garden, and I hadnt even noticed them till today.

So you now can gaze upon another beauty, which you don't need to tend lol.

driving back home after the w/end away I saw the catkins on the verge's, welcome sight. Good photo with the dark foliage in the background.

Nice to see the catkins Cinders. We have a distorted hazel and it has tiny red flowers on it as well as the catkins.

Well the little red flowers are the female, and the catkins are the male, and when the wind blows it blows the pollen onto the female flower to pollinate it. So you may get some nuts later in the year Lindak, that would be good wouldnt it.

I only got a few last year but I do use them in with the cooking.
