i dont have any in my pond, maybe i shoulda tried to fish one out of the canal today lol

Not a good idea Irish.The wild water lilies are much too vigorous for a garden pond.Best to get a cultivated one.By the way any good fishing to be had in the canal?

lol i wudnt have tried to get one mcmneil, i would have had to be fished out of the canal.. aye plenty of good fishing there, some big oul pike in there. fishing competitions are held there a lot.

Yes I agree.I like pike but haven't eaten it for ages.

The 1 i ate was what my bruv caught in the old Drain where we used to live it was HUGE!

Yep some of the best fish stories my Dad ever told involved a pike that was too BIG to land!! (i.e. almost the same length as the canoe!) got carried away with the fish and forgot to ask...is it just the perspective ...or are those leaves arrow shaped? I love wild anything...need hip waders or scuba gear to fish them out of the swamps over'eer. lol

It is commonly called the Spatter Dock in the UK and dont even think of growing it unless you've got a lake.Something I've learnt by bitter experience.

wish i did have a lake in my garden , it sometimes looks like i do after heavy rain lol,,,,,
