Our snow was late in coming this season, after the Christmas at any rate.

Funny that we should start so early, November..and it carried thru more or less till January and northern Scotland is still having a bit. We have had years of minus 20+ but they are rare, and we were in high minus double figures in the south too..almost unheard of. And in minus for so long, day as well as night.
Ive been lucky in my garden in that I have lost very few plants. Just a borderline hardy or two, which was fair enough.
Like you I have lots of irises and I was more worried about wet than cold. They have come thru well, particularly the Siberians, they do like the damp. I was lucky with the germanicas, had lifted big clumps to split, and quite a few smaller ones because we are revamping certain areas. They have done well in their pots. Had a couple of cases of soft rot, but thats all.

This is lovely Nancy, but looks like we've more or less had our quota our side of the pond..it certainly looks like spring is almost here! I cant believe we are further north than you! We are so lucky to have our temperate climate.
