Love dem der bling wellies Lulu!

9 Feb, 2011

oh wow ~ can i put some glitter on them?

9 Feb, 2011

I would say yes, but dont think Lulu would get them clean if she uses them in the mud!

9 Feb, 2011

I think I'll call them 'Silly Chic'!

9 Feb, 2011

better than chilly chic!

9 Feb, 2011

Or Silly Chick!!

9 Feb, 2011

i wonder if chilli chick translates as hot chick!??

9 Feb, 2011

I think it does Sticki!

9 Feb, 2011

There's posh ! ;0))

9 Feb, 2011

Isn't it? lol ;)

9 Feb, 2011

OH's boss says I'm not allowed anywhere near his house if I'm wearing them because he hates them Lol!

9 Feb, 2011

does he provide you with an alternative?

9 Feb, 2011

You must be joking!!

9 Feb, 2011

Oh, that's just so rich isn't it. "Lulu, dear, please don't darken my door with your bling wellies, it's so not county...only green wellies allowed here you know" !! lol ;)

9 Feb, 2011

Well green ones are just SO common aren't they!! I must admit, one day back in wellies and I'm limping again!!

9 Feb, 2011

They aren't comfy Lulu...some time ago, there was a gardening boot comparison in Gardener's world..or was it Gardens Illustrated...anyway, there were some cracking boots in there and they looked much comfier than wellies. I should have invested instead of buying new wellies, but what with the snow and all I felt I needed waterproof!

9 Feb, 2011

i wanted those boots that had jelly beans all over them but they only went up to size 4!

perhaps you should get boss some of those wellies with plants in as next christmas present

9 Feb, 2011

I've been wearing my walking boots for a few weeks and after months of limping and footpain, feet got much better, but def needed wellies for the pond job!

9 Feb, 2011

Back on with the walking boots then!

9 Feb, 2011

ive got walking boots ~ had them for a while but they are my second pair ~ first pair never got comfortable; paid more for these and they have been comfortable from day one! they have the soft tops but are still waterproof.

9 Feb, 2011

I've had my walking boots ..Timberland...since the children were babies, so we're talking 18 years now. I bought them in Florida of all places, in a discount Mall. They were comfy from day one, never a blister and still looking good as new. Not totally waterproof, but pretty good all the same. I love them and don't wear them nearly enough!

9 Feb, 2011

i found out today that 5 of my [younger] colleagues had done the 3 peaks challenge before christmas ~ i was sooo impressed! i wont be doing that but i wish i could do more walking and something a bit challenging. we should all do a GC crawl and join up somehow? how can we work that out??
it could be the Garden Boots Walk??

9 Feb, 2011

What a good idea! We would have to make it somewhere very central though....hmmm....perhaps The Peak District?

9 Feb, 2011

all we need to find out now is how many GCs are there between Angus and the Peak District!! or Worcestershire and the Peaks??!!!

9 Feb, 2011

OOOOhh, thats a long way for me to walk!

9 Feb, 2011

We have some nice walks around Bristol, Ashton Court, Leigh Woods, Blaise Castle to name a few..but its such an EFFORT since we lost our pooch. However, I do sortie out with my walking stick, great for uneven ground and going up and down steep slopes. Now the weather is better, I will take the plunge...occasionally!

9 Feb, 2011

You could borrow one of our three pooches!!

9 Feb, 2011

That would worry me to death Lulu! we cant run around anymore much less keep up with your miniature racehorses!! We would have loved it when we were younger.

9 Feb, 2011

You still awake Tetrarch!!! I just gone to get myself a brandy and ginger but we've run out of ginger ale, so I got meself a sloegin instead!!

9 Feb, 2011

Yep, but thinking of turning in now...its all the fault of those "nanny naps" when we have tea break in the afternoon...fatal! then Im not sleepy until midnight!!

10 Feb, 2011

Sleep well, I tried to nap earlier but had 2 25 kilo mutts on my lap!

10 Feb, 2011

Night then girls..all 4 of you!

10 Feb, 2011

morning!!?
sloe gin is very good i think.
those places sound rather nice tet ~ is ashton court the one that also has the balloon festival?

10 Feb, 2011

Yep, it sure is Sticki, to both things lol! We have ringside view of Balloon Festival from our "terrace dahling". Being at top of hill we are about the same height as the balloon field (and the Clifton Susp.Bridge) so can watch em all ascend (and see the Night Glow)

10 Feb, 2011

thats amazing ~ you should be selling tickets for your terrace darrrhling!

my sister lived in bristol some time ago and we went to visit; we went to clifton suspension bridge [had both boys with us] youngest son was about 3 or 4 and as we arrived they put the lights on the bridge ~ i think he believed it was specially for him for white a long time!

you should get some nice photos of the balloons tet?

10 Feb, 2011

Wasn't it you Tet who took that AMAZING photo of the balloons in front of the sun?

10 Feb, 2011

was that before my time? i dont remember those.

10 Feb, 2011

I will look the phot up, it was really fab, in my faves!

10 Feb, 2011

It was Tetrarch, it's an amazing photo, could win awards!

10 Feb, 2011

i shall have a look
thanks for your garlic bread recipe ~ it looks really good. very marketable and moreish!

10 Feb, 2011

i found it ~ thanks! incredible amount of balloons.

10 Feb, 2011

Incredible shot isn't it, wish I had the balls to go up in a balloon, would love to take a photo of the stud but prefer to keep my feet on the ground nowadays after a bombscare on a plane!!

10 Feb, 2011

i would feel the same ~ dont blame you. thats not at all nice.
