They are gorgeous. I set some corms in my window box in the autumn but no sign yet. One day I'd love to have lots of coum amongst my trees. Ive grown some from seed and planted more too.

Thanks Angela / Shirley , yes Skips this one is in the lawn as far as I know they will just keep on spreading I suppose until they run out of steam or die ....I have seen them spread out over quite large areas .. :o)

Clever girl Dawn growing them from seed ,I haven't tried that ! I have several clumps around the garden plus smaller new ones which I know I didn't set which makes me think that somehow they either seed themselves or squirrels etc are moving the smaller courmlets ... ( is that a word ) lol .. . :o)

Hi Amy, the seed took months to germinate. You have to put the seed tray outside, in the shade and wait. I would have thought my corms set in the autumn would be up by now, wouldnt you? The way yours have seeded around is wonderful, thats what I want to happen. Cormlets sounds logical to me lol.

Worth waiting for Dawn when you consider how much each plant is to buy , I think it must depend on how big the baby plants are as to how soon they appear they are quite slow to start ... I think I have a photo somewhere of a large patch growing round a tree at a Nat. trust house I must try to find it , it will give you something to aim for in a few years ... :o))

Hmmm they're not cheap plants to buy Amy. Grew the seeds last year and still tiny. Oh no Amy, dont say I've got you on the photo hunt again, lol. I can imagine they looked beautiful at the National Trust establishment! Wonder how many hears they'd been naturalising?

Dawn not the best of places for wild Cyclamen in a window box ,unless you have provided very very free draining compost, they also resent being disturbed.which as i hope they are alright would make them slow to start.

Thanks Bjs for that info. I think I'll take them out as its a wrought iron trough but it has a liner - they might be happier under some trees then?

Dawn, they will be happier under a tree, they will be very small corms, and if there are no leaves it may be hard to find them,I would give them at least another month to show and the ground hope fully will have warmed up a bit.

Thank you Bjs, your advice is much appreciated :-) They are such beautiful plants and I would like to get lots of them eventually, if I can provide the right conditions.

That is a beautiful huge clump, Amy. I must venture out and see if any of mine have survived. Fingers crossed :)
