This week's bargain...£15 at the GC. Lovely dark green yew tree to add to my shady garden pots. The viburnum to the left of it, is one I dug out of the garden today and swapped for a 'non-standard' one that was growing in the pot. Looks much better now!

Thanks Yorks, a blip!
Yes Lulu, I shall keep it in the pot, and trim it every year, but although they are huge trees eventually, they are also quite slow growing. Then, one fine day, when I get my dream country cottage at the beach, perhaps I shall plant it out! :))

Give me five years girls!

I'm glad you got outdoors today Annie. I was out in the mist and murk this morning, fishing dead leaves and rubbish out of the puddles in the borders! If the rain keeps up like this, I shall have to plant more water plants! Do you work every day in the week at the office?

Wow Karen your garden is looking much tidier than mine is at the moment, nice buy too :-)
15 Feb, 2011
Ah, thanks Richard. When I am sitting here in the conservatory I do like to look out on a nice tidy garden! If I didn't spend so much time looking at it, perhaps it would be allowed to be a bit messier!

Yes Karen Mon-Fri and have just increased my hours as Jamie walks home from school now
16 Feb, 2011
Ah, I did wonder because I was sure you used to have a day off. Still, you will be able to get nicer holidays now.....erm...and better quality tyres for the car...lol ;) Speaking of Sons growing up, my Callum passed his driving test today! First time... YAY!
16 Feb, 2011
Well done Callum - now no speeding please, it is expensive having to pay the fine ask Sammie she will tell you.
16 Feb, 2011
ha ha! poor Sammie! Scott knows all about that too! At least she didn't get a six month ban!!
17 Feb, 2011
Not yet!! It might just be around the corner. The 30mph corner. lol.
17 Feb, 2011
Congrats to Callum, it's a nice feeling to pass first time x
17 Feb, 2011
Thanks Annie! I for one, would not have wanted to go through that twice! Callum also (and he is another singer who has stood up in front of hundreds in shows) said it was the most terrifying thing he'd ever done! I remember my clutch foot shaking like mad all the time! I was still shaking for about half an hour after it was all over!! :))
17 Feb, 2011
Same here Karen! When the guy told me I had passed I asked if he was Joking! Lol
18 Feb, 2011
LOL!!! ;)
18 Feb, 2011
My dad taught me and he didn't believe I'd passed first time..bloomin cheek. I think I'm a good driver 33 years on, never had a point on my license :o))))))
18 Feb, 2011
Nope me neither, so we're not really bad girls are we Annie! lol ;) ....not like the 'boys' we know!
