Not in the U.K., Tet, which is a shame. Mainly found in S. America I think. So I'll never get to see one!

Hi Tetrarch and Shirley (by the way I love tulips!!! but they are hard to grow her in this hot weather)

This bird is called Bem-te-ví, (it means "I saw you clearly") it has to do with his song... it sounds like the words "bem te ví"

It reachs the size of 22 to 25 cm and 60gr weight, is a monogamic bird and can turn very agressive if feels its nest threatened.

Hi there Shirley,

I'm wondering how can I fool the tulips... :S
I tried to keep the bulbs on freezer and change it to the fridge on June, it grew up a little, but the sprouts died as soon as I planted the bulbs and brought it out of the fridge :(
