Yes, agreed. I love these ruffled ones. I am trying to grow some from seed. Unfortunately that means at least 3 years before I see a flower...IF I manage to germinate them. They have to stay indoors until end March, then go out into the cold before they will germinate, hopefully about May....it will really test my patience!

I had some seed around for the first time last year Karen, take ages to grow though still only one set of true leaves so think I'll wait a bit to transplant them, also have you looked on ebay I bought some 3 years ago that have their first flowers coming this year, 10 seedlings for 99p,lost a couple but still a bargain.

No, do you know, Kathy, I always forget to look on Ebay. I know you get some great bargains there too! Our GC is currently selling two lovely new hellebores...can't recall the names, but new vars....£16.99 per plant!!!!!!!!

Ladies, they are easy to grow from seed & I germinate them outside, I never put them inside. If any of you would like some seedlings PM me your address & I'll send you some, I'm sending some to another GoY member.
