hi Tetra you can add to your garden without posting pic again, you just add the name in your garden section first without adding a pic, then go to your pictures and then go under picture ,and i think its edit click that and scroll down and click not in my garden and it drops down and look for the name, click that then click add pic at bottom , think thats about it, but that way you dont double up on pic,

Whooo. This is lovely, no common yellow for you Tetrarch - amazing. Have u tried taking cuttings? Wonder if they take as easy as yellow?

Dont think so Meadowland..probly not well advertised. Apparently Burncoose Nurseries sell it.

The 'usual' Abeliophyllum is white, this must be 'Roseum' but none of them are common in Ireland.

I dont think they are particularly common here VincentD. Ive had mine several years and it hasnt grown much, but until Spritzhenry put on her picture I hadnt seen another.

Hi Tetrarch, It is a plant I would love to grow but I doubt it would do well in cold clay. Still ... if I came across one ...
23 Feb, 2011
Thats precisely where mine is growing! I may just move it this year, or replant it with loads of grit under it..if my cuttings work, you never know....

Now this is so much nicer than the yellow version.
24 Feb, 2011
I discovered there are two yellows DD, a golden yellow and a more lemon yellow. Much prefer the latter.
Now the flowering is over, will try a few more cuttings before I move it.
