Variegated Foxylady Palm has to planted in a semi-shaded area because the variegated leaves of the fronds can burn easily in full sun. Photo taken on Feb. 11, 2011 at the San Diego Zoo.

Yes, this hybrid palm has been all the rage during the last 10 years here. It's still pretty expensive...however, since it grows even faster than the Foxtail palm...the price is starting to go down a bit. The variegated form (which is posted) isn't grown too often...as it burns in the sun very easily.
