Hi Delonix,
You are very welcome :o)
This place is about 400miles from where I live.
It is the place where I go for vacations every year.

It's a gorgeous place!
Is it to the south or north of where you live?

Delonix,
This beach is called Ibiraquera, and it is placed in Santa Catarina, the next state, north of us.
Remember we are in the southermost state in Brazil, :o)

Thanks for the info! :>)
There's a variety of Syagrus romanzoffiana which is called Santa Catarina. It tends to be a very robust form of Syagrus romanzoffiana native to the Santa Catarina area.

Delonix,
The popular name here is Jerivá or Jeribá (from the indian language tupi: ieriuá - meaning tall people or tree or animal).
When I reached 16 to 17 yo my stepfather used to call me Jerivá (LOL!!!) gues why... :o)

Wow! It's great to see a photo of Queen palms (Syagrus romanzoffiana) growing in native habitat.
How far is this place from where you live?
Thanks for posting this pic for me! :>)
