Our Garden February 2011

Are you having a better summer this year in NZ? Your garden is looking good!
I lived in Queenstown for a year in the eighties, I miss NZ very much, it is so beautiful:0)

Yes, a good summer, Lulu.
We have just returned from a 10 day jaunt around the South Island with our UK visitors. Otago (including Queenstown) is looking particularly nice, but it is still too early for the beautiful autumn colours that the area is noted for. :-)

I do so miss those NZ colours! The Routeburn track, The Remarkables, Milford Sound and The Shotover river where I did a bungee jump!! Would love to see some NZ photos!!

Cinderella - it DID look nice...at least I thought so! But sadly no longer. Who would believe, the earthquake zoning by our Government has forced us to abandon the house, and we have spent the past four months digging up our shrubs etc and transferring them to our new home a few miles further north! Our house - still perfectly comfortable to live in - will be demolished. :-(

Oh how very sad. You must be devastated. But look on the bright side, as one door closes another opens as they say, and I expect you will soon have your new home looking good too. Look forward to planning new things.

sorry to hear that! where are you now, and have you a garden?

We have moved about 7 k further north...a country town called Woodend. Have been here now for almost two years; Have a bigger garden which we had to develop virtually from scratch. Must put up some photos before autumn gets too advanced. :-)

Oh, please do!!

In a way, starting from scratch is a bonus - you havve a blank canvas to paint whatever you like, rather than having to incorporate paint left on by a previous owner!
