I've never seen a deer in my garden. You are lucky to have seen one, Sticki! I love the deer in your photo, looking at you. S/he looks very innocent and cute!!

havent seen him/her since tho ~ was just thinking about that the other day when i was looking through the photos ~ it was about this time last year ~ or maybe january.

Maybe s/he came to look for something to eat when food was scarce? It'd be nice if s/he could come back to see you again! I like deer. Sometimes I spot deer (often three, a proof of "things come in threes"?), roaming around in the field, from a train/car. Very sweet.
