After the weeding!

Hey lou I've just ordered one of those Grandpas Weeders from QVC

You see where the shrub in top left is, ALL the grass has to go from there. Our ground is so difficult to dig over being so stoney! Am not looking forward to that job. My private gardening jobs start next week just when I have so much to do here!!! Any tips for getting rid of grass? A goat maybe (not!)

Am also going to order one Val. There are so many docks and thistle and dandelions, hope it's good!! Am sure it must be easier than digging them out by hand, just hope our earth isn't too stoney for it?

I was most impressed when I watched the video on the weeder, are you saying you are going to remove some of the lawn, whats your private gardening job then, thought you had enough on with the mosaics,

I maintain 3 other gardens!! Mosaic mostly in the winter as I get all frustrated if I'm on an artistic roll and I have to spend hours weeding other folks' gardens!!
Yes, removing some of the grass as I have planted trees and shrubs there. I have 2 Rugosas, 2 Magnolia, 1 Cherry and my replaced weeping Salix after someone backed his car into it! And then there are 2 honeysuckle shrubs and one Philodelphus. Mowing between all that would be a pain!!

That weeping tree is my Salix!
Grass is going to be dug up beyond the salix, you can just see a honeysuckle shrub in the top left! It's be did, dig, dig!

Wow, that was quick work! I am intrigued about the weeder and will check it out on Google :)
