I agree with the ladies!

Another brilliant piece Lulu! Love it! Simple and very very effective. Would look great on a wall....nice warm brick or cotswold stone!

You are right, it would look good on a wall but being made with granit I would have to find a clever way to hang it. I made Dad a salmon and he had an iron frame made for it (at some expense probably!)

lulu what about drilling holes in granite to hang with a chain for future ref.

Yes, Granite is pretty hard! I wonder if it would be very expensive to have the local blacksmith make a frame...it would certainly look fantastic wouldn't it! San's idea is good too, but I wonder if you would be allowed to drill in to your rented cottage.....

i ment drill into the plaque before doing the artwork karen , then attach a chain to it so to hang outdoors or for future clients :o))

Yes, I think drill into the base before the artwork...but I get to excited and ahead of myself!

Whats the size of this one? looks quite small.

26 Feb, 2011

It's about 18 x15". Made out of oyster shell, mirror and I only use grout, no lead. I painted the grout black using metal paint!

Thats a brilliant idea Lulu..did you teach yourself to do mosaics ?

26 Feb, 2011

I did, you can see some of the process on www.louropnermosaics.com. It's my first website!! A very simple one!

Thanks girls. When I've finished the weeding and when it next rains I will type in the sizes of them and prices!
