A Peacock Stopped By

It was a privilege to have him as a guest.
The last majestic visitor was a rather large Purple Heron a couple of years ago.He stuck around for a good while.
I managed to get quite close to it, about 10-15ft, but I wasn't camera ready back then.
I think the Heron was interested in a neighbour's fishpond.
I imagine he saw the time that my cat Sooty came home with a rather large slippery Goldfish, and thought he'd quite like one of those.

Peacocks are beautiful, especialy when they fan out their tail feathers. But, if i remember right, they haven't half got a loud screech, lol.
