is it as tall as the others, the label didnt give size whereas the other poppy label did.
will it tolerate a little bit of shade do you think?

Yes SBG it is the same size as the others, mines growing in full sun but do have Coral Reef growing in part shade and its fine.

No SBG I grew all my orientals from seed years ago T+M seed, planted around 9 of the Checkers in a large clump then one of them flowered bright red, with the same black blotches, very pretty but spoiled the effect a bit, tried to move it but of course like all the orientals leave a bit in and it comes back, now have it in both places.

love orientals sea.. i got a new one today so have 3 different ones now, new one is rasberry queen
