I grew most of them from seed I collected from my own plants that I had fertilized myself & later sown. Took all of 4 years but I think you will agree that the end result was well worth the effort & patience!
All those seedling, once the flowers had finished, I took down & planted in the allotment. Unfortunately some pest tunnelled into some of the bulbs & ate out their interiors. I seemed to have thrown away all the infested bulbs as the rest have shown no sign of dying. I dug them up in the middle of October & put them in pots. Some are now beginning to flower. :-))
