This palm is native to north-east Queensland, Australia and is a very fast growing palm in California. It grows fastest with lot of water since it's native to along rivers in rainforest.. Photo taken at San Diego Botanical Gardens on Mar. 1, 2011.

Thanks! Yes, many Livistona species are very popular here...most tend to have a weeping fountain shape.
