This is the third year in a row a pair have started coming in spring and they are in and out all summer. Guess they must have a quick feed while making nest and feeding young..had 3 the first year so maybe that was the youngling.

Their colours belie their call too, Sanbaz, its such a soft piping call, you could miss it. Its so sad and plaintive, but once you hear it, there is no mistaking it. I sit upstairs on my puter overlooking the back garden, keep the window open, and the minute I hear their call, I make a grab for the camera. Thats how I got this pic.

Thats a real shame Sanbaz, and annoying too..my BF suffers from this also. I am fairly soft spoken so I can never talk to her from behind as she cant hear me.
