Well, what a lovely site this is!! Thank you for the welcome notes. Yes this is the view overlooking the patio (last year obviously) its facing west so normally have a breeze/force 10 gales!!

I still like the pic, despite the gales.. :o)

As I am from the central continent, please, explain how strong is the wind (is it sailor´s terminology?).
By the way, I have similar view, although not as much nice as yours, and I must agg, that those gardens which are facing west are the best for meditation at the end of the day.

strong enough to blow pots over on the patio (and they are always the expensive ones!!!) i dont want to plant anything as a wind-break as it would spoil the view and there are also cattle on the other side of the wall in summer which often pop their heads over!!

That must be funny. I love countryside.
