You'll find he'll become very tame, Sticki. My Freaky blackbird would eat them from my hand. Sadly he doesn't seem to be about now although Hoppity has another mate with her :)

i like that warning squawking sound they make as they run across the lawn when worried but i love their song even more PG

Lovely picture, of a lovely bird, must get some meal worms for my visitors 2 female and 1 Male, the females are very tame scuttling around me as I put the food out ;0)

I found that Freaky and Hoppity just stayed close when I put the mealworms, etc. out each day. Then Freaky began jumping onto the bird table while I still had the food in my hand so I held my hand out and he helped himself. I think he was a particularly bold bird. Hoppity has never taken anything directly from me but loiters under the shrubs until I have served up breakfast, etc. Good luck :)
