Clematis 'Ashva'

That's a great price and a very lovely clematis, I'll have to go to Morrisons and have a little look :o)

Oh no I have just come back from Morrisons, did'nt look at the plants again and I want some clematis plants,

Yorks how can you go in there and not look at the plants?! I go once every two weeks cos i'm too easily tempted..Lol

Annie, I notice that the picture on the label is quite different colour to the ones on the nursery sites and google images. The flower is even nicer colour than this picture!

Yes I noticed that Karen, the label doesn't do it justice (Lets just hope my planting will!) Lol

I'm sure it will thrive, as long as it hasn't been indoors too long and gets a shock with the cold. I would harden it off a bit first if I were you, the growth looks pretty 'soft'.

we bought loads from Morrisons - including these - excellent value there

Bought this last year, we now buy all our clematis from Morrisons, still the same price as last year, and later on 4 for £10.00, unfortunately you will not get the really unusual varieties.

I'm off to Morrisons!!! Lidl were selling theirs at £3.99 and Wilco's were a fiver, altho I got a Miss Bateman for £2.99 there cos she was pot bound...repotted and going great guns now.
Wilco's had trays full of dead or dying fuchsia for 10p a plant..there was no way they could be rescued. Dont think the staff know too much about plants!!

What a shame for 10pence, they would have been the bargain of the year!!

I know DD, Im usually a sucker for lost causes, but even I had to admit I would be throwing loose change away!
