This is looking at the huge acreage which the animals are allowed to roam free at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Photo taken March 8, 2011.

Yes, the Pasqual Valley doesn't have much development. The Safari Park is more than 3,000 acres now...I believe. The undeveloped areas are mostly agricultural preserve, where avocados, citrus and other crops are grown.
The only draw back about coming out here in summer is that it gets hot as a firecracker (too hot for me).

THat area is bigger than some of our zoos here.

This area is bigger than most zoos in the world...and this is only a small section of the whole park. :>)
