I looked up blue tits, they are so cute too. I can see the resemblance. Chickadees are so cute as they flit about the trees.

i love their name ~ does chickadee come from their song??

Yes it does. They sing "dee, dee, dee." In the spring they also sing "Phoebe, Phoebe" They are such darling little birds. I could watch them all day.

im not surprised ~ i expect they are related to ours ~ we also have great tits, long tailed tits, coal tits ~ all similar.
