great shot!! I keep trying to get a photo of our Rufous-sided towhees but they move a little too quickly for my camera.

Another great shot! I have the same problem Lauram has...by the time I take the picture they're in the tree next door! lol.... I need a tripod for my bird shots as I have a 48x zoom but can't hold the camera steady enough...still getting used to a new camera. pretty frustrated actually.

Lori which camera do you have? I was having the same problem when using my zoom lens and I found a feature that greatly reduces the shake/blur. It's called "Dis Mode" not sure what "dis" stands for... some of dis, some of dat... :)~ Good luck though hope you get more familiar w your camera and it's not so frustrating for you...cuz that's no fun!!!

I have a Canon SX130 IS. I'm sure most of the problem is with me. I just have to take the time to study up. there is a feature on this camera to reduce the effects of shakey hands lol... just have to get used to activating it. LOL...Dis mode will have to check that out, thanks Tg. (maybe it stands for Damn I'm Shakey!)
