Last year was such a long warm season for here there was a great crabapple performance. This one is down the street from me. Loaded with apples, all left to the birds or weather. It isn't common for a good apple production on any type here, they are grown more as spring ornamentals.

These will hang right through, only coming down at strong wind, which isn't common here, or once the melt begins. Thats been only the last few days.

As PP says, very strange to see. Almost like an apple Christmas tree :)

We have many varieties that freeze and stay all through the winter. This variety of crabapple would be bare branches with fruit through the fall before the snow. It is like an apple christmas. :-)
