I'm not a huge fan of bergenias either but I do like the flower on this variety. Not so sure about the leaves though - still leathery and the bottom ones are inclined to die whenever you're back is turned :-(

Have never done very well with these plants, and can honestly say I am not a fan, but, saying that .....I love the flowers on this one.

I know what you mean, DD, these are much softer on the eye, aren't they? I used to tidy a small garden for an elderly gent, he had Bergenias in a very dry part of the garden, so I was always surprised to see just how many slugs were hiding beneath the leaves! : o ((
