Trinidad Flame bush blooms for most of the year here. It is widely used as a hedge as you can see. Photo taken at the San Diego Zoo on March 26, 2011.

Had that for years as a Bonsai...but the plant would not grow short branches. It looks like it would make a great feathery Bonsai..but it resists downsizing.

This one grows very well up in the SF Bay Area. I've seen many up there.
