I find the frost almost always gets the flowers on mine.

I don't seem to do too bad,as like the Camellia,it is North facing,and has the added shelter of a wall and a fence,but the parent plant does catch the frost on the new red foliage,sometimes...

these like acid - so put some round today :):)

Yes Paul.I don't have acid soil,but I dug lots in,when I planted them,and top dress them,so they have been fine .:o)

I planted it then remembered so I had to put hands in (with gloves on) and pick out bottom of composter - all rotting fruit and everything - really stank - but see if it works - the peony loves it , it seems anyway

Delightful, must be one of my favourite shrubs, lovely interest all year, love the red shoots and the lily of the valley flowers and they are so hardy too [just been taking a picture of mine too] ;0)
