The brook and old well

Does the well water supply you or do you have a newer well, Lori? I used to love well water from our 2 wells on Bowen Island and my dad used to fill 2 metal milk cans (the big ones that would be collected at the farms) with well water to take back into town (Vancouver) when we had moved off the Island.

It was beautiful tasting water :) Your creek will look lovely with Iris and Ferns planted up, Lori. Hope the thaw soon sets in for you.

got any spare cabins up there lori? it looks idyllic and will be absolutely beautiful with ferns and iris planted

have had experience like that with water, W'lass...I remember drinking water from a spring on the Niagara Escarpment...delicious and cold...never tasted anything to rival it before or since! Also remember the islands in the "straits"...you have lived in one of the MOST beautiful places on earth...(at least that's my humble opinion)
Cabins are in the planning stages Sticki...how did you guess!? All you need is a plane ticket...
I found some daylily shoots emerging on the southside of the house...at the foundation...sweet william too...this pic is one of the many "spots" of interest on the new property. I'll be working on them to produce little stopping places on the trail (will be about a mile long) have some pics to post of the hemlock groves...with large resting stones! I'm busy cleaning up and removing dead limbs, etc. will plot out the trail with stakes and markers.

i think you must live in the place of dreams lori ~ it sounds so beautiful. remote and yet welcoming ~ that is quite a combination.

That's a very kind offer, Sticki... Have been trying to figure how to do this when there's only me to build it...and I'm no spring chicken! Maybe I should advertise a building bee! ...come and bring your hammer! lol...or tell them it's a family reunion and put them all to work!! Well, some ideas are better than others, aye? Will keep thinking about it...something's bound to pop up!
