yes, it's on the sun baked side of the pond along with other rockery plants it's very hot and dry there.

The plant thinks it is at the seaside.... Lol.
No wonder it has so many buds .. :o)

I also have this near my pond, unlike yours it isn`t in bud yet...

oddly enough some of the buds were from last year that never opened but have done now, but it's full of new buds, i have been lucky here the weather has been warm and bright..
