I often take photos of the trees that are in flower at this time as I walk through the streets - one of the advantages of not having a car as you can stop as often as you like to take a picture of anything that interests you! With the advent of the mobile phone camera I take many more photos than I could ever have taken with my digicam!

Yes, that's certainly an advantage of walking. I do like a walk, but don't often remember my camera. I'm trying to remember to take it with me more...
The camera on the mobile is good, and if i haven't got my other camera with me i do use it, sometimes. But there's no zoom on the mobile, well not on mine anyway...

There is on mine but at the cost of very small file sizes. I used to use it a lot but as the photos came out so small I stopped using it. I use the 1MB option of the 3MB it comes with. I have many 100s of photos on my phone. The Memory stick has 2GB capacity 1 of which is dedicated to music the other to photos!

That's interesting, i've never thought of having music on a mobile phone. I've only had music on my MP3 player and ipod. I didn't really know that phones were able to zoom in, but then if the picture is so small i think i would prefer a larger picture that doesn't zoom in. Leave the zooming in for the proper cameras, i've got 2 of those - a smaller one that fits in my pocket, just. And a larger one, with a better zoom. (not a huge expensive one, but the biggest i've ever had).

The great advantage is that you always carry it with you & don't have to think about carrying more than one device! That way you don't loose them either & neither do you have to remember to pick them up before leaving the house!

I very rarely use the zoom function. I find the photos are a better quality on my phone than on my digicam which my wife bought me at least 5 years ago for over £200!

You must have a better phone than mine, then...
I do use my camera phone sometimes, when i've not got my camera. But i find my camera pictures are better than my phone picture, although for pictures that don't need a flash or a zoom there isn't much difference, to be honest...

I have had a Sony Ericsson W595 mobile phone now for 2 years & I'm pretty happy with it. I'm not one of those people who have to upgrade to the latest model every year. So I'll probably stick with this one for a bit longer before upgrading to a new model. The one thing I miss on it is a flash!
