What a beautiful thought, its hard is'nt it Holly when you loose a pet when you have had them such a long time, i still miss our Smokey and its just over 10mths since he died. main thing is both Ella and Smokey had good loving homes.

Thats lovely Holly , we did the same thing when our old dog died we looked everywhere for a statue that looked like him we finally found one he is out in the garden his head is cocked at just the right angle as though he has seen the squirrel in the tree , even now after 6 yrs. I touch the statue under the chin and talk as though it is him , silly or what ?

It's nice to have something tangible to remember them by, isn't it, whether its a statue, plant or whatever. I don't think it's silly, Amy, it's good to know lots of us are the same :)

You've had a long wait for your tribute to arrive and it is nice that you've been able to find something suitable, Holly. I hope you are able to find the Yorkie statue that you are looking for when the market reopens.
Our pets are dear to us and it's not at all unusual to miss them or to remember them with these kinds of memorials.
Ella and Scotty must have been great companions to you, Holly. x
