No Milky, but a close relative in the Protea family. It's Leucospermum, Veldfire. Pincushion Protea.

Pack you bags Sandra. I figured that you'd like these. Their leaves are very succulent-like, thick and leathery. I would like to start collecting a variety of these protea, there are so many different ones!!! Saw some wee cuttings online for $8 + shipping...we'll see how this one does first :)

It used to be a custom when ever in the "old days" U left South Africa, people will give U a bouquet of Proteas. Can U imagine in todays world of travel taking that on the plane. Ah things used to be so uncomplicated then.
