fungi at powis castle

I love fungi - looks good enough to eat!

Just found this picture, Sandra. Is this the lovely fungi growing on a fallen tree just as you walk down from the car park towards the castle/gardens? If so, this is the same fungi as in my signature picture :-) small world....!!

we had the pleasure of staying in our van at powis castle over night.
the deer didn't show their faces till after closing time.
it was a very special surprise when we saw them come down out of the woods into the clearing.

Sounds lovely. I always feel so privelidged when I come across deer in the woods.

Don't think they're poisenous - just inedible.
