thanx carole, maureen, helen is right they are great leaves all summer through to autumn when change colour before dying off ;o)

The flowers on mine are open Sanbaz, about 2ft tall, yours will probably be the same. They still look very strange to me!

mine are only two years old but are twice as big this year helen, i love the clusters of tiny flowers when open.

They are a lovely colour of pink Sanbaz and the dark stems show the colour off even more!

Thats an unusual plant San, I love it, so unusual. Im going to google it..

So, the leaves come after the flowers, Fab. And it like's to be beside ponds, its gorgeous san, gonna check prices,..

YDD, they have those at that nursery I told you about earlier and not expensive!

thanx Dee, as long as its in semi shade and not in strong sun, and moist ground will do well, im sure you would like it, i got this from our village nursery, so they are about locally, hope you decide to give it a go Dee ;o))

Couldn't agree more Sanbaz! Talking of local nursery is Joe settling to his new job? I bet he loves it, lucky boy! LOL!

Sanbaz & YDD, another one with the large leaves you might like is Astilboides tabularis! Don't be misled by the name, the leaves look nothing like an Astilbe!
