My Woodland: Birch, Malus and Wild Garlic

Is the lush grass looking plants the wild garlic? I've never actually seen wild garlic so keen to see if it is one of those things that is actually all over the place and you see it when you know what it is!

Kilder - yes the wild garlic is the white flowering plants to the right. It grows in woodlands and can be invasive and can sadly smother bluebells. If you crush the leaves the smell of garlic is very strong.

I mean it, must be lovely to have your own woodland, my OH would agree with me too....

It is nice walking through the trees along the mown path. The trees are set in blocks by variety and will need thinning out soon. The wild cherries have looked nice recently as in blossom, the oak are just coming into leaf. The hawthorn hedge is in blossom too and looks and smells lovely.

How blessed are you DA? What a lovely thing to have your own bit of woodland. Did you plant the trees yourselves or is it older that that? It's pefect anyway!

Yes, we set the trees in 2002, just bundles of whips then.

Amy, the garlic is really strong isnt it, when you brush against it.

Must take a photo of the sweet rocket, coming into flower now amongst the trees :-)
