I have this stunning clem. Brought it from my old garden. It hasn't flowered since....five years now....very frustrating! I may buy another just to take my mind off it! Isn't it gorgeous...one of my favourites and definitely one of the most photogenic flowers I've ever snapped!

How annoying Karen, so it flowered until it was moved?
I wonder why, as you would give it perfect conitions, so frustrating.

I know, I even planted it in the same 'place' it was in my old garden!! I think they sometimes respond very badly to being moved. I can't get it out either as it's roots are all mixed up with a tree now! Just have to hope it will flower again one day!

Ive heard they dont like being moved. You never know, one day it may decide to flower for you, aren't plants funny.

Maybe this year now that I've told you about it!

Well lets hope, I've spoken about my wisteria alot recently and thats flowering for the first time since we bought it :)

How long is that Dawn? Neither of mine have flowered this year...five years now...I am very disappointed, but know it could be another five yet!
30 Apr, 2011
We think we've had it 5 years Karen. Bjs said his pink one flowered after 5 years. I was going to replace mine this year if I could find one in the GC actually in flower. Mine has lots of leaves so was happily surprised to see a few flowers. The established ones seem to flower before leafing. You never know, yours could flower this year or next, only noticed buds a couple of weeks ago.

Well, that would be lovely! Like yours, lots of leaves coming out already but I expected flowers to come first. I did see one recently that had leaves and flowers at the same time though......I will certainly have a glass of wine to celebrate if I get even one flower!! :))
30 Apr, 2011
I'll join you Karen, we'll celebrate together :) I hope they flower for you, as mine was in full leaf I'd given up hope but hey presto.
30 Apr, 2011
Well, you've given me hope DA...thanks! :))
