My Pond - Smoke on the Water

Thanks Helenium, it was nice to see the pond this morning, even though the frost has done the gunneras :-(

It might just be the top growth that's affected on the gunnera's Dawnsaunt, they'll probably bounce back and bigger!

Sorry you had a frost it was to be expected, hope it has not done too much damage, great shot of your lake.

I deffinatley call that a lake Dawn it's huge , It must be wonderful to have so much room to do all these fabulous plantings and the stamina to do it , well done both you and John it's a credit to you :o))

Helenium: I think the gunneras will be OK, they usually get frosted, not sure if I should cut the damaged leaves off or just leave them.

Hi Bob, I didnt think you ever got frosts, hope you didnt have too much damage.

Dotty: I know, I've been expecting a frost, no way could we get away with it for much longer.

Amy: You are kind, I think it would have to be very deep to fall into the lake category, lol. I wish I could look at everything in an uncritical way but I guess we are all the same with our own gardens.

Thanks Kathy, ponds soon establish, dont they, of course the banks are taking longer, I cant wait for the sight of clay to finally vanish. Yes, that's are willow arch, John has done it for me, still a work in progress though.

Dawnsaunt, if they were mine, I'd leave them.. just in case another frost arrives, they'll give the plant some protection!
