Hopefully Meconopsis Blue Poppy For Amy

I don't think I'd be too sure Carole....it's not really like mine, they are more rounded and not so open in the growth. You never know though, as mine was white, maybe it grows differently?

Sorry to disappoint you Carole but it's definitely not a Meconopsis Blue Poppy :o( as Janey has said the leaves are much rounder and thicker not so green either more a grey /green , it looks poppyish I wondered if it was an Iceland Poppy! another mystery plant ..lol... lets hope it has a flower that we can recognise .. I will send you some more Meconopsis seeds later after they have bloomed ....

Just had a look at different ones Carole, and your s looks similar to the Lingholm group. Maybe your poppies cover a wide range of types Amy.....:o))

Thanks Amy and Janey for having a look, I will have another try next year Amy, but Im not giving up hope as I have at least 2dozen Poppy seedlings so its quite possible one will be blue;0))

It could be Janey , I have put some gorgeous looking plants out today that I've grown from seed the poppies are called Danebrog Laced and are described as being known as Danish Flag ,with striking orange red blooms with a creamy central cross , the petals look frilly on the pic. you can all have some seed when it's time if you like them when they flower ;o)

BTW Janey we haven't had any rain today, when we came home this afternoon the plants were all drooped on the ground , another evening of watering !!
