There's several flowers spikes out on my Heliconia plants. They should be opening and blooming soon. Photo taken on a cloudy day May 8, 2011.

Yes, the very long drought was not good for Heliconias. I'm so glad the drought is finally over!!!

Can't wait to see it in full bloom. Looks like our sky here today....we are having a cold spell....brrr.

It should be blooming soon! It's still cloudy and cool here, too...it's extremely unusual for this time of year. Last week we were sweltering in almost 100ºF/38ºC. heat. Go figure! We've had strange weather for more than a year.

Looking good there Andy. You know how I just told you that my 15 year old Heliconia has never bloomed. Well, I had quite a surprise when I looked at it the other day. I will post a picture.
