Big Red Poppy!

bold yet delicate..love it

It's growing next to a couple of Peonies and when they open they clash like heck! Folk say in gardening there's no such thing as a clash of coloures but believe me, these do!

Lulu theres absolutely clashes of colours, and this nature made it so.
From my degree days I remember a sight theory call 'opponent pairs' where rods n cones in the eye can only register red or green and hence the line between has such a punch. lovely photo

Will take a pic when the peonies flower, you will see why I don't like the colours together! Coming from a person who loves wearing red and pink together!
