Meanie, my aestetic preference is yes of course the flowers but more over I love the big leaf fonds. we have a couple of large patches of wild yellow ones over by the veg patch/pond and they get huge, really lovely leaves

Steve - I am a little biased as we put some in to give us some privacy, and now spend half our lives pulling the runners out!!
We love the rustle of the leaves on the breeze though.....

My neighbour gave me some bamboo last year and after only a year the pot was healthy in roots and I was able to split it and give a bit away
