Thanks girls , I've been trying to grow one from the seed but have't had any luck yet .. I love it ,it has these lovely cream bracks now and then the huge red berries in the autumn , I hope you both manage to get one !

Gorgeous Amy. For my new garden I've bought Cornus controversa (wedding cake tree), I think its probably similar.

Lol..... Yours might look even more spectacular Dawn , from what I can see you will have flower heads with lots of small star shaped flowers making one large head and then black fruits in the autumn mine has single flowers then has a red berry in the autumn almost like a Raspberry .. it would be nice to have a collection of the different kinds :o) do you think you will have flowers this year ?

I must go and look to see if there are any buds, havent been over on that part since the weekend, lol, been in the greenhouse, potting on etc.
They are so nice, arent they, it would be nice to have a few, like you say.

That is gorgeous, Amy, spectacular! I love these . . . but have had one for 6 years (Eddie's White Wonder), and still no bracts. :((
I believe they prefer acid soil?? But at least my Cornus controversa variegata is flowering . . .

Michaella and Simbad - apparently some varieties flower "early" while others can take years - so lots of luck with finding a good one!
