This is the lazuli bunting, Sgbabe. Sorry about that!!

Just reviewing these comments and realized that I had only answered one of two questions Sgbabe had asked.
What I should have said "Sgbabe, this is a lazuli bunting, and I put out wild bird seed mixtures some homemade and some with great taste, it all depends on what kinds of birds you want to attract. The mixtures are designed to attract a species of bird; and they are enticing to several species. I always seem to have a yard full of birds to my delight

Thank you for that! Do you put out bird food even in the summer? I was advised that you are supposed to only feed them in the winter months here in the UK and leave out water in the summer.

I feed them all year but not as much in summer because I don't want them to be too full to help keep down the undesirable insects in my veggie garden. Does it work? I have no clue! lol
