What a lovely colour scheme! I love really deep borders like yours. And that poppy plant! I only get one flower on mine!

Beautiful lupins too! Is that a peachy coloured iris just coming out?

this is my hotch potch border, if I dont know where to put plants they go in here. the popy is bright red and was one of the few plants in the border when we moved in 16yrs ago.
the irises are white or yellow in this border, and there are at least 2 of each in this bed.
the lupins are pink and lemon . I am always amazed at how this bed changes over the year.

This is lovely :) But how do you get to the back of it?
20 May, 2011
there is a 2ft wide circular path through it, and I also walk on the soil and 'refluff' it after working in the area.

ah right, thanks :) Its very beautiful!

Very nice 'hotch potch' if only you could buy a ready made 'hotch potch' like this..

That is lovely - thats what I have been aiming for over the last 2 years in my front garden not yet there though. It takes a while to establish the mix don't you think?
