let sleeping cats lie

I think I upset some cat lovers a couple of years ago by preventing access to the cat's favourite toilet, aka my freshly planted flower bed, by sticking wooden skewers around the plants. (I returned to find cat faeces stuck half way up a skewer, and fear, human intervention had been necessary for this otherwise impossible feat - or is my imagination too limited?) In order to appeace any offended friends of the feline species I purchased this rather cute sleeping and very harmless kitten which has been dozing beneath my flowers ever since. Oh, and the live cats a very much up to their old tricks again, I'm afraid...
